Papal Mass - tickets

Notice to all schools in the Kinsale parish:

Dublin, Ireland, has been chosen by Pope Francis to host the next World Meeting of Families from 21-26 August 2018, guided by the theme “The Gospel of the Family: Joy for the World”.

Held every three years, this major international event brings together families from across the world to celebrate, pray and reflect upon the central importance of marriage and the family as the cornerstone of our lives, of society and of the Church.

World Meeting of Families 2018 will be a joyful and enriching occasion for adults, young people and children.

Everybody is invited to participate, including single people (vowed/consecrated or lay), couples with or without children, extended families and clergy. Thousands of families and individuals from all over Ireland and the world are expected to attend. Some people may come as a family, others might come on their own, others as part of an organisation. Adults, youth and children are all invited to take part.

The World Meeting of Families concludes with a Solemn Eucharistic Celebration that will gather individuals and families from all around the world in thanksgiving and communion.  The main celebrant for the Final Mass will be Pope Francis.

For families wishing to attend the Papal Mass in Dublin's Phoenix Park on Sunday 26-August 14:30-16:45, please note for crowd management and security, every adult and child in attendance will require a ticket to access the venue.

Those who wish to travel by bus from Kinsale may book by calling Ann in the parish office on 021-477 3821 - this guarantees tickets to the Papal Mass. Bookings for the parish bus will close on Fri 29-June-2018.

For those who wish to travel independently, Single Day Tickets for the Final Mass are free and will be available to book from 25-June-2018 on the website

Before booking, it is important to be aware of the transport restrictions which require a long walk to the venue - please see
