Rang 4 Hurling / Camogie Team

Best of luck to the rang 4 hurling/camogie team who are playing in the final of the Kinsale hurling blitz against Summercove next Mon 29th, 2013. It's on in the GAA pitch at 10am, followed by a long puc competition. Rory McCarthy and Eva Crowley are representing the Gaelscoil in this and we are all rooting for you!!

Invitation to Avego Launch Event

AVEGO would like to invite you to the Kinsale Carpooling Launch In The Kinsale Suite, Actons Hotel, Kinsale on Tuesday, 30th April 2013 at 7pm

What's it all about?
Census data shows us that 50% of cars leaving Kinsale travel to Cork.  Most of these cars have 2-3 empty seats in them.  

Many drivers would be willing to share, but don’t know how to find people going their way, while lots of prospective passengers have limited or no access to a car.

Avego can make carpooling a more practical and more reliable transport option for everyone.   

Using smartphones, Avego can help people to find each other and share the expenses of commuting between the driver and the passenger.

Sean O'Sullivan, CEO of Avego is launching an initiative for all commuters from Kinsale and the hinterlands to Cork and beyond.
The Mayor of Kinsale, Cllr Billy Lynch, along with Dan Boyle, will be in attendance on the night.

Apart from the obvious environmental and cost saving benefits, you might be surprised to learn about some of the hidden benefits already being enjoyed by the Avego community in Kinsale.
With dozens of users already in the Kinsale area saving hundreds of euro weekly, Avego is set to become the hot new mode of transport, with Kinsale commuters pioneering the way in Ireland
This is a community event and all are welcome so feel free to tell friends, family and colleagues.

Yoga for Kids

Dear Gaelscoil

Please see attached poster for more details on Yoga for Kids. A fun, creative way of instructing yoga to kids. The focus for May is to take a cue from nature around us: Growing and Opening as in Spring and early Summer. Stories and yoga to nurture these qualities in our bodies, minds and spirit. Classes start May 1st for 5 weeks. Sign up early as class size is limited.

Wine Tasting - Postponed

The French wine tasting has been postponed.

Hopefully we will be able to reschedule for some time next year.

French Wine Tasting Evening

After popular demand, Mr François Rédmond will host an oenology night (French wine tasting) on Monday 29th of April 2013 at the Scoil. This should be a fun night where you will be able to sample different french wines.  Mr Rédmond has said that this should be educational and fun. He has asked for people to bring a few questions along with them (eg what type of wine do we serve with lamb).

The entry fee will be €15 per person. There will aso be a raffle on the night for a Magnum of Bordeaux.

All proceeds will got to the computer system in the scoil.

SuperValu Bag Packing

We need volunteers to pack bags on Friday 26th April 2013 in SuperValu Kinsale.

If you can give 1 hour in the morning or afternoon it would be greatly appreciated!!

Training for u6/u8/u10 has commenced at the Kinsale GAA grounds on Sunday April 7^th 2013 at 11.00am, other age groups have already started back.
