Is campa spóirt samhraidh í Gael-Champa a chuireann imeachtaí cultúrtha, oideachasúla agus spóirtiúla ar fáil do phaistí trí meán na Gaeilge!
Freastlóidh an campa ar pháistí ó scoileanna lán-Bhéarla chomh maith le Gaelscoileanna. I measc na n-imeachtaí beidh peil Ghaelach, iomanaíocht, rugbaí, eitpheil, sacar, cispheil, snámh, dráma, rince céilí agus tuilleadh leis.

Gael-Champa is a summer sports camp as Gaeilge, providing cultural, educational and sporting activities for children through the medium of Irish!
The camp caters for children from English speaking schools as well as Gaelscoileanna. Activities include Gaelic football, hurling, rugby, volleyball, soccer, basketball, swimming, drama, céilí dance and much more.

We are looking for volunteers to bake breads, cakes, biscuits etc.  These can be brought to the school on Friday 21st March 2014 or directly to Temperance Hall. There will be a bag and fashion accessory sale on the day of the coffee morning for high end items such as handbags, belts, scarves, hats and jewellery - so please can you have a look for any donations which can be handed into Orla Dockery, or Dervilla Wrynn before Thursday 20th March 2014.

 But most importantly come and have a cup of coffee and a chat on the day. Emma would like to thank the school itself and the network of pupils and parents for their ongoing kind support to her, Jonnie, Rowan and Alannah.

Kinsale 100km and 60km Cycle Challenge

Coffee and Cake Sale event - Thank you!

The PA would like to extend a big thank-you to everyone for making our Coffee morning such a success. Sincere thanks to all those who helped organize, bake and attend the coffee morning at Temperance hall last Friday (28th Feb 2014).  As a result of such kindness and effort, we raised nearly €800, all of which will be put to very good use at the school.

Indee Productions is recording a second series of their magical children’s cookery show ‘Bia Linn’ for TG4 in April 2014.  We are looking for enthusiastic young cooks who would enjoy the experience of being part of this fun television production.

Our budding young chefs should be:

·         Fluent Irish speakers

·         Between 5 and 8 years of age

·         Bubbly and outgoing

·         Available for 1-2 days filming in Belfast from 10^th-17^th April 2014 (accompanied by parent/guardian, accommodation provided)

Video Submission Guidelines

This year we are asking all our young cooks to send in a short video clip of themselves!

Your video should:

·         Be no more than 2 minutes long. 

·         Feature you speaking in Irish

·         Tell us a bit about yourself

·         Show us that you like having fun in the kitchen

In the body of your email please write the following: your name, age, address, contact details and confirmation that you are available for filming in Belfast between 11^th and 17^th April 2014.

All email submissions should be supervised by an adult. All videos submitted remain private and will be destroyed once the casting process is complete.

National Parents Council Special Interest Group for parents of children with special needs.

The Gaelscoil National Parents Council membership is currently being renewed.
