Over the past few years, the children of Gaelscoil Chionn tSáile have taken part in the "blankets of hope" programme to create lovely blankets which we gave to people in our Cork hospitals as a comforter as they underwent chemo.
We have started again in 2018, and have made great progress as you can see! This year we are asking the 6th class knitters to help 3rd to 5th class. They will go into the classes for an hour for 4 weeks after Easter in the hope that each of the classes will create their own blanket.
So dust off the knitting needles and make a start if you can over Easter. 20 stitches, 20 rows – to end up as a square.

Huge thanks to all the kids who have been busy knitting and the muinteoirí who are very supportive of this programme
